RAMAYANA The Prince's face glowed like a sacrificial fire bursting into flame as the ghee is poured into it. Kaikeyi felt glad at her apparent success. She could not look into the future and its sorrow, for what greater grief can come to a woman than the scorn of her own son? Greed deceived her into folly . It prevented her from understanding aright the mind of her own son Bharata.
Like a captive elephant hemmed in all sides, Dasaradha lay in anquish. With needless harshness, Kaikeyi hurried Raama saying, " Do not wait for the King to speak and prolong the affair."
At this Raama said, 'Mother you have not, it seems, known me. I value no pleasure higher than to honour my father's pledge. Let Bharata carry the burden of kingship, and look after our aged father. It will indeed give me the greatest joy.
Dasaratha, silent till now though listening intently , moaned aloud . Raama touched the feet of his father and Kaikeyi and hurried out of the chamber.

One should meditate upon the Supreme Person as the one who know everything, as He who is the oldest, who is the controller, who is smaller than the smallest, who is the maintainer of everything, who is beyond all material conception, who is inconceivable, and who is always a person. He is luminous like the sun , and He is transcendental, beyond this material nature.
8-10
One who, at the time of death, fixes his life air between the eyebrows and, by the strength of yoga, with an undeviating mind, engages himself in remembering the Supreme Lord in full devotion, will certainly attain to the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
8-11
Persons who are learned in the Vedas, who utter Omkara, and who are great sages in the renounced order enter into Brahman, Desiring such perfection, one practice celibacy. I shall now briefly explain to you this process by which one may attain salvation.
8-12
The yogic situation is that of detachment from all sensual engagements. Closing all the doors of the senses and fixing the mind on the heart and the life air at the head, one establishes himself in yoga.

అటువంటి శ్రీశుకుడు కురుజాంగల దేశాలు ఎలా ప్రవేశిెచాడు? హస్తినాపురంలోని పౌరులు ఆయన్ని ఎలాగుర్తుపట్టారు?. పిచ్చివాడులాగా, మూగవాడులాగ, జడుడులాగా ఉండే ఆ మహర్షికిీ, రాజర్షియైన పరిక్షిన్మహారాజుకూ సంభాషణం ఏ విధంగా కుదిరింది? ఎంతోకాలం చెప్పదగినటువంటి శ్రీమన్మహాభాగవత సంహితను వివరించటం ఎలా సాగింది? అంతేగాక మహావిరాగియైన ఆ శుకయోగి గృహస్తుల ఇండ్లలో గోవును పాలు తీసేటంత కాలంమాత్రమే నిలుస్తాడనీ, ఆయన గో దో మాత్ర కాలం ఏయేచోట్ల నిలుస్తాడో, అవన్నీ పుణ్యతీర్థాలౌతాయనీపెద్ద్లు చెప్తారు. అటువంటి మహానుభావుడు అన్ని దినాలు ఒకే ప్రదేశంలో ఎలాఉన్నారు?. భగవద్భక్తులలో శ్రేష్ఠుడైన ఆ పరీక్షిన్నరేంద్రుడు ఎలా జన్మించాడు. ఏమేమి చేసారు? దయతో ఈ విశేషాలన్నీ వివరించవలసినదిగా ప్రార్థిస్తున్నాను.
