WIFE OR DEMON ?

RAMAYANA

BUT she answered: "Have done with this foolery, she that you do not break your word and drive me to keep mine, and kill myself.  It is useless for you to try to evade."

The king said " With due rites and in the presence of Fire , I took your hand and called you wife. Here and now I renounce you, and with you the son you bore. Night is gone, the dawn is near and the morning will see not Raama's coronation, but my funeral,"

Kaikeyi cut him short.  "You are prattling vainly. Send at once for Raama. Let him come here. Tell him the kingdom is Bharata's and he should go to the forest.  Keep your promise . Do not waste time,"

Dasaradha groaned . " Very well . Let me at least set eyes on Raama's face.  My death is near. Let  Raama come. Let me see his face before I die . Tied down by dharma this old fool is helpless. 

And again he fell unconscious.

Deluded by the three modes [goodness, passion and ignorance], the whole world does not know Me, who am above the modes and  in exhaustible. 

7-14

This divine energy of Mine, consisting of the three modes of material nature, is difficult to over come. But those who have surrendered unto Me can easily cross beyond it. 

7-15

Those miscreants who are grossly foolish, who are lowest among mankind, whose knowledge is stolen by illusion, and who partake of the atheistic nature of demons do not surrender unto Me.

7-16

O best among the Bharatas, four kinds of pious men begin to render devotional service unto Me-- the distressed, the desirer of wealth, the inquisitive, and he who is searching for knowledge of the Absolute.

ఓ బ్రహ్మణ్యులారా! మీరు పుణ్యవంతులలో అగ్రగణ్యులు. సర్వం తెలిసిన మునివరేణ్యులు. మీలో శ్రీహరి చరణయుగంపై భక్తి ఇంతగా ఆరూఢమై ఉన్నది.  మీ హృదయాలు శ్రీ హరి యందు ఆసక్తములై ఎడబాటు ఎరగకుండా ఉన్నాయి. శ్రీమన్నారాయణ సంస్మరణ ప్రభావం వల్ల ఈ చావు పుట్టుకల బాధలు ఎన్నడూ మీ సమీపానికి రాలేవు.
