RAMAYANA

" Do you promise? Very well" she  exclaimed. "Swear again in the name of Raama that you will do what I wish without fail. Swear it"

The King said " My beloved queen. I promise I swear it on Raama. Whatever you wish. I shall do. This is my sworn word"

At this stage, as she thought of the tremendousness of her intended request, Kaikeyi's heart misgave her and she feared that on hearing it her horror- stricken husband would exclaim--God forbid! No oath or promise is strong enough to justify so hoinous a sin!--and recoil from her with abhorrence.

She stood errect and with folded hands , turning in the four directions, invoked in a solemn voice the heavenly powers to witness and confirm  the oath: "Oh ye Gods! you have heard and witnessed the promise given to me by my husband. 
Sun, Moon and planets, you are my holy witnesses. Ye, Five Elements! You have heard the promise .  He who has never broken his word, my husband, has sworn to do my wish Bear witness to this."

Dasaradha was looking at her with hungry, joyous eyes. She knew her man and she began boldly: " Do you remember, King, how, when long ago in the field of battle you were about to lose your life, I drove your chariot in the dark night, took you out of the battle- field. removed the arrows from your body and comforted and revived you? When you came out of your faint you said some thing? did you not?

Thus the self-controlled yogi, constantly engaged in yoga practice, becomes free from all material contamination and achieves the highest  stage of perfect happiness in transcendental loving service to the Lord.

A true yogi observes Me in all beings and also sees every being in Me, Indeed , the self-realized person sees Me, the same Supreme Lord, everywhere.

for one who see Me everywhere and sees everything in Me, I am never lost, nor is he ever loss to Me.

Such a yogi, who engages in the worshipful service of the Super soul, knowing that I and the Super soul are one, remains always in Me in all circumstances.

 ఏడవ పర్యాయం ''యజ్ఞు ''డనే నామంతో రుచికి, ఆకూతికి కుమారుడై, యమాది దేవతలతో స్వాయంభువ మన్వంతరాన్ని సంరక్షించాడు. ఎనిమిదో రూపంలో నాభికి మేరుదేవి యందు       ''ఋషభుడై '' ప్రభవించి పండితులకు పరమహంస మార్గాన్ని ప్రకటించాడు. తొమ్మిదో జన్మలో ఋషుల ప్రార్థన మన్నించి  ''పృథుచక్రవర్తి'' యై భూదేవిని గోవుగావించి ఔషధులను పిదికాడు. పదవదైన "మత్స్యావతారం " దాల్చి చాక్షుష మన్వంతరంలో సంభవించిన జలప్రళయంలో నావపైనెక్కించి వైవస్వత మనువును కాపాడాడు. పదకొండో పర్యాయం  "కూర్మావతారం " స్వీకరించి " మున్నీటిలో మునిగిపోతున్న మందరపర్వతాన్ని నేర్పుగా వీపుపై ధరించాడు. 
 పన్నండో అవతారంలో "ధన్వంతరి " యై దేవదానవులు మథిస్తున్న పాలసముద్రంలోనుంచి అమృతకలశం హస్తాన ధరించి సాక్షాత్కరించాడు. పదమూడో అవతారంలో "మోహిని"  వేషంతో రాక్షసులను వంచించి దేవతలకు అమృతం పంచి పెట్టాడు.

AHALYA

RAMAYANA After a day's stay  in the City of Visaala, Viswaamitra and his  party left for Mithila. On the way,  not for from Mithila, they saw a beautiful aashrama which seemed untenanted. Raama asked V iswaamitra: "Whose is this aashrama with ancient trees? Why does such a beautiful abode stand deserted?" RAMAYANA Contemporaneously with the yaaga in A yodhya there was a conference of the Devas in heaven. The Devas complained to Lord Brahma that  Raavana, king of the demons, drunk with the power acquired by the boon granted to him by Brahma, was causing them untold misery and hardship. they represented to Brahma:"It is beyond our capacity to subdue, conquer or kill  Raavana. In the security of your boon, he has grown wicked and insolent and ill-treats all, even women,  His desire is to dethrone Indra. You are only our only  refuge  and it is for you to devise a method by which Raavana can be slain and his despotism ended. " Brahma knew that he had granted to Raavana the boon prayed for by him that he should be invulnerable and invincible against Devas, Asuras,Gandharvas and other such beings.
